Short description Morfologi

Carapace smooth; anterolateral margins with numerous very sharp spines of differing sizes. Surfaces of legs and chelae with numerous sharp, brown-black spines of differing sizes. Carapace reddish brown to brown, especially on anterior part; spines black to brown; fingers black.

Biologi     Ordlista (t.ex. epibenthic)

Exported in Taiwan and Singapore, where live specimens commands premium prices of up to US$40 per kg in 1988. Occurs at 20 to 540 m. Inhabits rocky and muddy substrates. Benthic. Subtropical and tropical climates (Ref. 343).
