Found in rock crevices. Often encountered in pairs of simultaneous hermaphrodites in the sea anemone Telmatactis cricoides. It leaves the anemone at a distance of about 20 cm when it cleans fish (Ref. 102839).

Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer.
