Prefers to inhabit globose gastropod shells such as Nerites sp. in intertidal flats, reef flats and rock platforms (Ref. 2782, 81753). Also found in mangrove areas on sand mud bottoms (Ref. 81753) and on rocky shores (Ref. 81754).

Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer.
