It has lengths of 13.4 cm (male) and 15 cm (female), maximum total length for E. African material; 6 cm, maximum carapace length for E. Africa for both sexes; 7 to 7.8 cm, carapace length of S. W. African females; 7 cm, carapace length from St. Paul Island; 6.9 to 8.2 (male) and 6.8 to 9.2 (female), carapace length from New Zealand (Ref. 4). Occurs at a depth range from 370 to 841 m with bottoms with mud, rocks and coral (Ref. 4).
