Minimum depth from Ref. 116064. Clean, siliceous sand with shell fragments (Ref. 1443). Found nearshore in shallow water; in Mississippi Sound it was found on coarse sand 90% of the time, rarely on fine sand, and never on clay (Ref. 1451).
