Catch records show a steady increase in the contribution of Metapenaeus dobsoni in total shrimp catch and a concomitant decrease in the catches of the more economically valuable species Fenneropenaeus indicus. DNA data analysis shows that the individuals in Maputo Bay do not originate from India. Ref. Simbine, L., C.G. Marques, P.D. Freitas, K.E. Samucidine, J. Gusmão, C. Tavares and P.G. Junior, 2018 |
