Family:  Neritidae (nerites)
Max. size:  3.5 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: from India to western Polynesia; north to southern Japan and south to northern Queensland.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Collected with other nerites by coastal populations. Used as food and for shellcraft (Ref. 349). Found in inner bays and on gravel (Ref. 75835). Also found on the lateral and undersurfaces of boulders in shelted shores (Ref. 128873).
