Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 30 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Somalia Coastal Current.
Diagnosis:  Colonies are small and encrusting with surface having small mounds. Corallites have well developed hoods facing different directions. Cream or pinkish in color. This is the only encrusting species of Stylophora.
