Environment:  sessile; marine; depth range 9 - 445 m
Distribution:  Atlantic Ocean and Eastern Pacific. Subtropical to polar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Solitary (Ref. 2377). It is found on rocks from shallow subtidal to deep waters (Ref. 865). Found on shells of Modiolus modiolus (Ref. 119566).
