Distribution:  Southeast Pacific and Southwest Atlantic: Argentina, Brazil and Peru.
Diagnosis:  Culmen: 6.14 cm; tarsus: 2.59 cm; wing: 27.52 cm.
Biology:  Total Length: 28 to 35 cm; Wingspan: 76 to 78 cm (Ref. 8812). Dipping; coastal. Outside breeding season, ranges north on Pacific coast to south Peru, and on Atlantic coast to Rio de Janeiro region, and Chubut, Argentina (Ref. 356).
