Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 70 - 1300 m
Distribution:  Arctic, Northeast Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea: Canada, Greenland and Iceland. Subtropical to polar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This species is found on bottoms with large amount of fine particles (silts, clays, fine sands); sometimes on coarse sand bottom (Ref. 85342).
