Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from southeast Africa and India to the Malay Archipelago and Japan.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Total length: 6.2 to 7.6 cm (male); 7.3 to 8.2 cm (female); carapace length: 1.4 to 1.5 cm (male); 1.8 cm (female) (Ref. 8). Minimum depth from Ref. 99823. On muddy or sandy substrates (Ref. 99823).
