Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 180 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific and Western Central Atlantic: Belize, Costa Rica and Panama.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 111335. Found on seagrass Halimeda sp., corals Porites sp. and Madracissp. , and rubble (Ref. 86568). This species adopt exposed position on mangrove peat banks, whereas in reef habitats they are cryptic (Ref. 86570). They are found in coral reefs in intertidal areas (Ref. 83942).
