Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 230 - 700 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: from the Bahamas Islands and southern Florida (USA) to French Guiana.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It has a maximum total length of 17 cm (Ref. 271), total body length, usually around 12 cm (Ref. 4). Deep sea (Ref. 97531). Occurs at depths from 230 to 700 m but most common between 300 to 500 m on a substrate of sand or mud (Ref. 4).
