Family:  Palaemonidae (palaemonid shrimps)
Max. size:  18.2 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; freshwater; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Endemic to Eastern Atlantic: West Africa, from Cape Verde and Senegal to southern Angola.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Females migrate from freshwtaer to the estuarine areas to spawn for larvae requires brackish water to survive and early development.
