Environment:  pelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 1000 m
Distribution:  Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean. Tropical and subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This is an epi- and mesopelagic species found in the water column that undergoes small-scale diel migrations (Refs. 83914, 128439) (Ref. 1663).
