Environment:  pelagic; marine; depth range 20 - 20 m
Distribution:  Mediterranean: Italy.
Diagnosis:  Colonies large and unfascicled, with long stems, branches and pedicels; hydranths elongated; complementary nematocysts atrichous isorhizas. Only immature blastostyles of both sexes observed; males reducing tentacles in course of development, females with normal number of tentacles and unbranched spadix (Ref. 3086).
Biology:  Occurs at a depth of 20 m (Ref. 3112).
