Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan, Sea of Okhotsk, Kamchatka Peninsula.
Diagnosis:  Culmen: 2.02 cm; tarsus: 1.81 cm; wing: 14.12 cm.
Biology:  Species split from Marbled Murrelet in 1996. Pursuit diving; glacial-affected; SST<9oC; coastal (Ref. 356). Also found in the pelagic zone (Ref. 116102).
