Environment:  benthic; marine
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific and Southeast Atlantic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Assumed maximum length from Ref. 844. Sea hares have annual life cycles (Ref. 126605). Found subtidally on rocky reefs (Ref. 844), and in shallow estuaries and embayments. A herbivore that is commonly nocturnal (Ref. 866).
