Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Eastern Africa to Hawaii.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found offshore and may be found in sponges down to depths of at least 170 m (Ref. 69553). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
