Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Eastern Africa to Japan, Australia and Society Island.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on and in corals usually in the surf zone (Ref. 69553). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
