Distribution:  Indo-Pacific, Southwest Atlantic, and the Antarctic: Magellan Region. subtropical to polar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Depth based from syntype (Ref. 1134); to be replaced with a better reference. Benthic, marine; on hard, wide-spreading, branched, filamentous algae, or sandy bottoms (Ref. 1134). Known from depths of 23 to 150 m (Ref. 1751), and from 0 to 200 m (Ref. 3435).
