Distribution:  Atlantic Ocean and the Arctic. Subtropical to polar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This species is found in sandy, muddy or rocky habitats, attached to hard parts or products of other organisms from the shelf to abyssal areas. They are carnivorous and feed on sea urchins, gastropods, bivalves, or crustaceans that crawl or swim into their grasp (Ref. 87872). Solitary (Ref. 2377).
