Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 8001. Acoetids are carnivorous, 'sit-and-wait' predators, not leaving their tubes more than partially when they forage (Ref. 103470). Uses a jawed pharynx in feeding (Ref. 125928). Found in muddy mucous tubes (Ref. 8001).
