Remarks Sedentary (Ref. 102214), usually found on rocky crevices and on side of rocks, from low intertidal to 54 meters in depth (Ref. 865). Also inhabits algal beds, among those of crustose corallines and articulated forms (Ref. 101521). Juveniles occur in crevices and other cryptic sites during daytime; moves out at night to forage and returns to home site at dawn. Adults stay on home sites; forages on drift algae and occasionally on attached algae (Ref. 101619).
