Quote | It is questionable for New Zealand. The species hails from Magellanic South America on seaweed and is little known but australis is a better name than European anguina, which has been used for the NZ species but has different-coloured embryos. Aetea australis on seaweed could at least be spread in austral seas by the West Wind Drift. | |
