Low intertidal to shallow subtidal. Associated with sand, especially near river mouths (Ref. 103027). Inhabits mangrove areas with sandy muddy substrates (Ref. 81753). In Hong Kong, observed to be commensal with Crepidula walshi (Ref. 125869).
