Environment:  benthic; marine
Distribution:  Pacific Ocean and the Arctic: Japan to Russia and northern Alaska, south to Baja California. Tropical to polar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found under stones or among Laminarian roots (Ref. 907), among other seaweeds, barnacles, and mussels. Very voracious feeders (Ref. 930).
