Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean, Northern Atlantic and the Arctic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 107430. Common in various types of sandy substrates (e.g. coarse to fine), where it burrows and creates temporary superficial galleries. Considered herbivorous, but a carnivorous diet has been reported (Ref. 107429).
